Elton John solo or with his band ?

Do you all prefer Elton John Solo or with his band ? I really like the energy his band brings to his music so for most tunes I much prefer the whole band effort. Man that has got to be one rockin gig.

Dee Murray was the band, he really made a difference in EJ's music.
Coincidentally, I never liked anything EJ came out with since.
