ok, i know this is ridiculous but wow. this song has the funkiest fretless bass work ive ever heard in a song. i dont think ive ever even heard fretless bass outside a jazz context, let alone a pop song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJJBq...eature=related

|  | Registered User | | | | | John Giblin is so underated imo, Kate Bush - Babooska ain't easy to play perfect plus Eberhard Weber on the Mother Stands for Comfort track from Hounds of Love album, has beautiful phrasing and tone. Fair play to Kate, she let those guy's play whatever they choose to go with on her tracks, that's rare now.
John Giblin did great work with John Martyn too, especially the Grace and Danger album, he is 'the' quiet man of quality fretless bass. |
