Erotomania!

Just sat down to learn Dream Theater's Erotomania. I heard a lot of Dream Theater, but played little as they always have some monster long and fast scale I'l never complete, at least not on a 4-string. But Erotomania is genius! Perfect for my skill level! Ahh this felt good! So much fun to play! I love the way it forces me to use one finger per fret, and has som very challenging (at least for me) turns with no change in hand position (i.e the part at 2:10).
Almost done now, the last run is quick!

Good bass day today

You can play 90-95% of it on a 4 string. NO EXCUSES!!!

I use this as my warm up exercise before gigs. I play up to the point where the guitars go clean and the bass starts playing whole notes. I do this once at half-speed and once at regular speed. Takes under 10 minutes and completely stretches out the fingers and hands. I know how to play the rest of it, but I haven't in a while. Its a great track, I love everything off of Awake.

Great song. The one finger per fret opening riff is great for stretching out the hand and fingers.
