Extreme Heat vs. Opie Gone Bad

This is a stretch - I'm not sure how many people out there are familiar with both - or even one - of these bands. But, you know who you are.

Compare and contrast?

I've never heard of Extreme Heat, but like Opie Gone Bad. Great live band.

Opie Gone Bad is a Denver band, Extreme Heat was an Austin band. Both groups are rock-funk oriented, and have always featured very strong rythym sections.

Opie is a product of the 90s, and Extreme Heat was a product of the 80s. That difference is evident in their sounds, but they are actually quite similar.

Both outstanding local bands that deserve(d) more exposure than they get/got.
