famous bass line intros

Sign in to disble this ad
New poster here. Did a search for this before I posted but didn't find much.

I'm interested in learning a bunch of "famous" intro bass lines. Its really kind of a joke for the people I play with (praise team).

Especially INTRO bass lines: songs that lots of people would know just by hearing the bass line, and that bass line is the intro to the song.

Are there any/many? I can't really think of too many.

Be easy...remember 1st time poster here haha!

The first one that came to mind when reading this was Alice in Chains' "Would?".

#1, no doubt: My girl. Simple, solitary - great.
Now, a few more...

Too Rolling Stoned - Robin Trower
How many more times - Zep
Dazed and Confused - Zep
Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
Brick house (as previously mentioned) - AWB
Higher Ground - RHCP
Sober - Tool
Come Dancing - Jeff Beck

Yeah, I'm showing my age here, aren't I? Nothing too current...

While it's not technically the intro, the figure from So What by Miles - you hear that, and you KNOW what it is...

"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. First 45 I ever bought. Now, who here can tell me what a 45 was?
