What is yaw'z favorite bassline out there... A bassline that everytime you play or hear it you go into a zone... the bassline I love is....well theres two... Fred Hammond That aint Nothing and Stevie Wonder I was made to love her... OFF THE HOOK... but whats yawz be blessed..

I'm sure I've left some out, but these lines are IMO essential to the songs. They carry the songs to another level, and in many cases, the songs would not be "great songs" without them. They are commercial, melodic and compositional hooks in their own rights. The main instrumental draw, if you will.

Geddy Lee's playing on Rush's "Leave That Thing Alone" is totally underrated.
Can live double bass solos count? Because then I would be obliged to mention Stanley Clarke's "Touch" (from 1, 2, to the Bass ) and Edgar Meyer's solo track on Music for Two (with Bela Fleck; can't remember the name of the piece, but it's the last track. Absolutely beautiful!). |
