Weather Report was the bomb!!! I was lucky enough to see Jaco live with WR and Word of Mouth and with Hiram Bullock and Kenwood Dennard (at Blues Alley in DC. I got Jaco to autograph his first album and the neck of my P bass. The bass was later stolen but I still have the album).

a very small club I has a table that was right u against the stage, Jacos amp footswtich was about 2 feet from my head

It was scary and brilliant at the same time

when I go back to the recordings, while I do love the Joni era, arguable his best playing and tone combined, I like the songs and arrangements of the Pre WR a lot
