I guess it would be cool, but i think it would take a lot to incorporate such sounds and make it work. Plus, the only thing i
might use in a death metal type situation is a fuzz in a blend loop, but only in a band with a single guitarist. Then i could get, in theory, a midrange clank
and distorted guitar sound out of just me, allowing the guitarist to break out a solo or two.

Are you going to actually get an amp for the death stuff? |
In 2 words: ***k yes.
Im wanting to get and Ashdown RPM-1, a QSC RMX2450 and an Avatar B410 to start. Between the volume capability of the QSC and Avatar and the apparent versatility of the Ashdown I should have no problem getting a sound I want.
Im gonna spread out the cost a little tho and use the "tube pre" model on the POD (with no cab modeling) untill I get the Ashdown. Ive done a
lot of research lately and this is what i want. I can then add another Avatar 410 later and be pumping out 1500Ws of power.
I
could keep the POD as my pre, but Id rather move away from all the emulation stuff. Actually get
a sound, and go from there.
