Advent,
I notice mixing issues, but those will usually always be there. I think your sound is overpowering everything else being played. As an ensemble, it just doesn't seem tight enough. I don't know if you all recorded at diff times but it just seems like you aren't hearing/feeling/playing with each other. Advent has an okay main riff but personally I think it was overdone. The intro seemed to drag(if not drag, just went on too long) and I get that it's a more serene/ambient (meaning no offense to you at all) but I feel it lacked a main interest point. There was the one heavier section near the end and I liked it in the sense it was going somewhere. It was disappointing when it ended, left me unsatisfied. Drums can help provide more dynamics to the piece. I feel like he's holding back and just playing to keep beat. I found the bass to be the main focus, and it's refreshing to hear, but if you're going to be the main focus, take the music somewhere. Pull my interest! That part at 2', as mentioned earlier, needs a lot less bass.
Otherwise, good ideas, I think that they need a bit more thought and structure.

Thanks for taking your time to listen and reply, the songs arn't mixed yet i should've noted that in my OP i've edited it now. No offense taken at the Serene/Ambient thing we try to make most of our songs either something we can enjoy playing thats a bit silly, e.g. Super Nintendo, or something thats very ambient haha.
As we've decided against getting a singer I try and play a sort of vocal melody line.
