Actually, I can. At the end of Lucy In The Sky WIth DIamonds, Paul slides up to a F natural over a D maj chord. He does it a few times. It always sounds sour to me. But Beatles music is sacred. No one has the right to alter it. If that's what he wanted that's what it is.
But if you're performing a dance tune and notice a flub, I see no reason not to correct it.
Now, if you're being paid to transcribe, then write what's being played. And you can give a notation on how there might be a clash.
