1st 3 songs. the 4th song is one we recorded live at practice a while back.

i can't go back and re-record the demo, but i always take constructive criticism seriously and would incorporate changes when we play out.

thanks for checking it out. these forums are awesome!

firstly, I like it...it's kind of raw and unpolished...straight ahead stuff, no muckin' with wierd effects and stuff...

reminds me a little of the smithereens in vibe (not in style, but in "vibe" if you know what I mean)

the drummer needs to watch his timing a bit and you guys need to find a little more variety in your rhythms...but other than that...it's really cool!

great job...

I like it. Reminds me a little of Iggy Pop. I like your bass in the beginning of Kids Push Kids and there's some tasteful stuff on Ohio.

I agree that it would be good to vary things a little more, but it's hard to tell with just four songs.

I actually think Ohio the one you say was recorded live at practice sounds every bit as good as the other three.

cool, thanks for the feedback. the 3 we just recorded are pretty similar in tempo, good call. i think they are 132, 138 and 144 bpm...something like that. we don't stray too far from there, so that's valid advice.

one thing i thought was cool: the engineer had my rig mic'd, but also recorded my signal DI. he then took the DI recording and played it through an old Ampged B-15, which he also had mic'd and that's what we ended up using, i think. or maybe a combination of the 2. either way, the B-15 sounded much better than my Peavey head and Ampeg cabs. i wasn't around Sunday for the mixing.

thanks again!

Very " Kink "-y ! I dig. Ohio gets a bit of funk in the syncopation. Nice.
