Flaming Lips - Overtakes Me TONE?

Sign in to disble this ad
SO... I really really dig the tone on the song It Overtakes Me by the Flaming Lips off their At War With The Mystics.

Anyone have any idea how they got that dirty fuzzy bassy tone? it's superb! some sort of bass thru guitar amp type deal? i love it!
i'm fairly certain that isn't a synth in that song. a lot of their bass work is synths, but that's got fret buzz and such...
