Hello,
I just got myself some flatwounds, and I was wondering which interesting basslines out there were recorded using this kind of strings. I think Sting uses them a lot, right? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Check out 'Glow Girl'. And look on Youtube for the live version of 'My Generation' and 'So Sad About Us' at the Marquee, Entwistle's P bass sounds immense.

Sting uses DR Lo-Riders- they arent flatwound... | To extend this... Steve Harris used Rotosound SH77's. His signature strings.
Another thing though... Different manufacturers make flats with different sounds. Some may sound dull and boomy, while other will sound bright and crisp. And then there are some in between. I use Rotosound RS77's which are bright and crisp. |
