I heard this the other day. Very cool. His bass tone makes me think 46 & 2.

Interesting enough to make me want to hear more. I didn't love the vocals, but I dug the layered vocal treatment. Nice production, good song. I'd pick up the record.

There is more stuff on youtube.

Feersum Ennjin - Dragon - YouTube
Feersum Ennjin - The Wilderness - YouTube
Feersum Ennjin - Safeway - YouTube

Interesting, but all the songs sound a little but the same, and I still don't like the vocals as much as I'd like.

Interesting considering that wasn't him. I think it sounds closer to the tones on undertow, which makes sense considering its the same guy.

YEA! I am aware of that. He does however have several writing credits on that album and it doesn't change the fact that the tone of the bass on that song sounds IMO similar to 46 & 2.

Sounds cool, even though so familiar... but that is expected.

I dig what I'm hearing so far.

I love it. Bought the EP years ago and have been hoping for a full album. It sounds like the album will incorporate some, if not all, the songs on the EP, but I don't care. I'll still buy it. Can't wait.

For something totally different from Paul, check out the Lusk album. Also great, but very different from the syncopated metal sound of Tool/Feersum Ennjin.

True. But he didn't write 46&2. Sounds like a stingray on both though.

I dig the bass, but overall it sounds very studio/commercial rock to me, which although Tool is a very studio friendly and commercial band they have somehow avoided that sound in my ears opinion.

that said.. its definately talented.. but not my cup o tea.
