FREE Please give a listen to our alt-rock mid-90's throwback CD! FREE

Hi guys, over Christmas break some friends from an older band (which later became the new drums/bass altrock band in my sig) got together and recorded ten tracks our parents really liked from back in the day, and gave it to them as Christmas gifts.

We officially released it via bandcamp two weeks ago, and now that the fervor of excitement has died down, I though I'd give this community (to which I owe very much) a chance to listen. As always, it's free, you can download the whole thing, and it's true to the fuzz (both guitar AND bass!)

Braille Illustrated - still hunger on bandcamp.com

Thank you for listening, hope you enjoy it.
Devin

GEAR USED (on bass, specifically):
Peavey VB-2
Sunn Beta Bass
Ampeg VT-22 (V4 combo model)
Fender Pro Junior tube amp into Mesa 410
FEA Labs Dual Band Distortion
Z.Vez Woolly Mammoth
Team Awesome Fuzz Machine
Fender P-bass (1974, stock pickups)
Squire P-bass with Bill Lawrence P-46

For gu*tar gear, ask!

Maybe throwback isn't exactly accurate, but...

Appreciate your guys ears and eyes, let me know if you have any questions about rocking out :P Opinions welcome, and a gold star to anyone who can tell what specific album was used as a sonic road map for a good portion of these tracks, though we realize there's sort of an all-over-the-place genre thing happening, it's all fuzz and alternative to us!

Wow ... Really Good... Really good sound and vibe. Nice tempo-not rushed. I liked the midwestern living lyrics. Gonna burn the trailer park to the ground, LOL.

Songs 4 and 6, 7 and 8 are awesome. I think song 4 should be first & starting off an album with an instrumental is kind of a faux pas, IMO. Got to head out & haven't listened to the last two. Good stuff though I think the album starts a little too slow.

Actually, that's the Woolly Mammoth! Team Awesome is way more open sounding and old-school. That Mammoth track also has a little Direct Mammoth in it, and some clean Sunn Beta. It's all trickery, I tells ya!

After not working on it long enough to listen objectively I absolutely agree! let me know what you think of the last two, when you get to them, they are special!

I like it! It's got a sort of raw-psychedelic-punk feel. Very cool stuff!

Haha, wow, thanks very much guys! I took some advice and moved the instrumental track and track 4 around, which gives it a bigger opening. Please keep the suggestions coming; this silly recording has already scored us a handful of gigs! Who would have thought.

I believe it. If you were playing in the Tampa area, I would come out to a show or two.
