Full-on funk tune - my tip to Vic and Steve B

Hey

I got busy with the ole laptop and GB and finally got around to making something a little funky - I just started with simple a sequence of chords in a sort of Chameleon-vein - and it just kind of built up from there. Because I play fretted and fretless it sort of sounds a little like the maestros Vic W and Steve B having a little funk face-off - I added in lots of unison line bass breaks and panned lots of stuff left and right... the end is totally silly, but it's meant to be a fun tune. I hope you dig some of it.

This is great stuff, I like it! Not so sure about the effects on the fretless though, it maybe could have done without that! And the fretted tone is incredible, I'm guessing it's the Thumb? Wish the fretted parts were mixed a little louder though!

Hi Chris - and Mr Cheese...

thanks guys - I may be able to mix the slap parts higher, it is the Thumb but I put new strings on and it always sounds great when I do - anyhoo I wanted to try some effects on the fretless to try something a bit different - but I do need experiment more with more tones - this was a great tune to put together and I'm slowly learning how to create more space, plus I really enjoyed creating unison parts... thanks again for checking it out - the feedback is really helpful.
