Funk/Jazz Where Can I find Some?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been getting in a mood to listen to funky jazz type music with good Bass in it.
Any Ideas on what artists to check out or where to look?
Just some good old smooth Jazz and Funk that I can just press play that makes good background music, and relax to.

Thank You,

jamiroquai - anything by them
erykah badu - anything (the live album is really good)

There was alot of stuff on Romantic Warrior that was pretty damn funky.. The stuff I heard on Light as a Feather was a little different... Sorry I wasn't specific.

Some of the older John Patitucci stuff has alot of slap elements that I guess you could consider funk.

This is about as technical as jazz funk gets IMO - The Brecker Brothers live in Barcelona with an incredible band - that includes the mighty James Genus (on a lovely early Fodera 5-string) - the band is killing, the solos are amazing and the charts are just silly - this is the sh!t
