Thumbs up

Cool stuff !!!
Sounds a lot like The Meters ... but that's a good thing IMO.

Have you guys tried playing it just a little bit faster ? I think the song would sound a bit more slammin' ...

I also checked out the other songs, again good stuff man.
I especially like the bassline on "scootcher", very nice groove.

Keep up the good work & funk on

Yeah, that's some good stuff, I think you should maybe pick up the tempo, just a little.

very meters like, but a lot fresher.

the mixing is kind of poor imo, it feels too loose, but I dunno.

I dig it though very

I dig it.
I like the tempo too -it being kind of a laid-back funk thing, I like it as it's played.

Thanks guys. Part of the funkyness here in New Orleans is laying behind the beat so far. playing at that tempo is tuff when I want to be smooth. We have a tendency to get way back in the pocket in the studio, and like most bands pick things up when playing live. So the tunes move all the time. I here you, and there is a slight tempo drop at one spot that makes it feel a little off. Mix is rather subjective as what your hearing is a poor MP3 dump. Good, focused feedback guys, thanks. You know how it is, when you get in mixdown and decide on wether to keep it or not, there are always compromises.~peter

Wanna hear something else?

FYI, I recorded with my Lakland 55-94 Classic into an Avalon U5 DI, into a Soundcraft Ghost board to tape.

That's snappin! Keep the tempo where you've got it, thats a nice locked-in groove. I'd buy that...where?
