gene chandler- a groovy situation

kind of a disco like song heard it for the first time a few days ago. the bass line is cool how it sounds like a random solo but matches the song so well. anyone else recommend any other like this?

I asked gene last night who played bass, he told me it was Richard Evans. He seems to have the same feel and adventurous style as James Jamerson, who played on 60%+ of motown recordings done in detroit.
