Toxicity is a great album, so is the self-titled. Steal this Album is really raw and full of emotion, but bad recording quality and Sarj's voice is off a bit at times. The two new ones are good, but different than what they had done in the past. The guitarist does a lot of singing and his voice annoys me.

They're all cracking albums, as has already been said, the first and "Steal this Album" are fantastic.

I think the best one to come out so far is Toxicity for the song of the same name--I really like it

Welcome to the year 2000 MM!

Toxicity is good, for a nu metal album.

Their newest album isn't that good, all the rest is.

Problem with me is I saw them in concert and read an interview with the guitarist. They were pricks who seemed uninterested to be there. Haven't been able to view them the same since.

Knowing your theological background, I'd suggest "Science" from Toxicity. Lyrically and sonically, my favorite tune from them.

I'd suggest starting from the begining with their self titled album.

But I think it all depends on your taste since each album is quite different from the last. To me they started out a lot heavier than they are now and have gotten progressively more melodic and a little less heavy.

+1. I saw them at Ozzfest last year and it was NOT a good experience. They were not so great live (Disturbed blew them off the stage), and they definitely had a "prick" vibe to them. No interactions with the crowd, no "thank you"s, no encore, just a pretty boring, uninterested, sloppy performance. I do like the recorded material, however.

I certainly won't pay to see them again.

My mate saw them at the Big Day Out (New Zealand Music festival) a few years back, and he said the guitarist was so out of it on drugs he couldn't even play the guitar and the guitar-tech had to play the guitar out the back! Absolutely pathetic!!!

Yep, but I think you can skip most after toxicity if you only want them in their prime.
