Giant Steps (Fast Jazzy Samba version) - Live with my band - Big Fan

Hey peeps

Played Giant Steps with my ace jazz quartet Big Fan in rehearsal the other day at the guitarist's house - he set up some mics and this was the result - it was literally the first time we played this through so there are a few little slips but it's really grooving and the solos are pretty nice too. I was playing my Warwick Thumb through a little Trace Elliot combo - I'm not too keen on them - but it came out well on the mix... hope you dig the playing and the vibe.

Giant Steps Samba - by Big Fan:

Musicians are: Christian Miller - Guitar - Jack Beeche; Alto Sax - Sophie Alloway - Drums - Mike Flynn; bass guitar.

Cheers

I think that sounds very nice.

Sounding great Mike. I'm working hard on my modes at the moment, and hope to be able to solo as fluidly and interestingly as you did in that clip.

Good job!

Regards

Mike
