Listened to the older stuffs. I must say that Rex Brown's playing was rock solid during those years. Not only that, the tone is a killer too. It is scooped but it definitely cuts through. It sounds really heavy. Is he using the Spector? Or that one came later?

Try to listen to "Come on Eyes" and "Heavy Metal Rules"

I know on CFH Rex was playing a Charvel...

Where can we hear these albums, have they been reissued? Always wanted to hear what they used to sound like...

the almighty super P-bass? (a play on the term super strat)

unfortunately, Cowboys from Hell is now the official "Debut" album of Pantera and the first 4 albums were never reissued.

you can still check your local vinyl or cassette store. also, try youtube.

isaw them in columbus on the sabbath reunion tour...great show helluva band too....the deftones opened the whole show and I coulda done without that
