Good Times, Bad Times

I've found myself in love with the song, and play it a lot, but can't seem to get that tone Jonesy's got. I've got the jazz bass with flats, but my Fender Bassman just can't seem to put the tone out, at least not with what I've tried. I've tried messing around with everything, but it just hasn't worked out. Any help?

It's in your hands. You can duplicate gear exactly, but the primary component in anyone's sound is the way they attack the strings.
