One like Mike Pocaro was playing probably runs right around $2,000 new if you don't have an endorsers discount.
Used is where a Cirrus is an incredible bargain.

He gets 50% off list (on Trace gear too). I haven't had him get me anything, yet. Maybe I should go for a Cirrus. |

Pushes me to start using my 2 Cirrus more! I changed my Cirrus 4 to GHS bass boomers and it totally changed the sound and feel from great to amazing. They are simply marvelous instruments. For what they go for used, they are a total bargain! The best kept secret in bassdom. My neighbor is a super pro bassist, and she doesn't even know about them.
AND - you get the fantastic Peavey customer service. The best I have experienced. When I have needed parts for my old Foundations from time to time, they have always had them, and even sent me a new nut for free.

yeah mike always had a good taste for basses, i think he was one of the first to play tung, tobias and f basses.

| I guess I stand corrected. Just did some research and he's played on a lot of stuff outside of Toto. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p...9frxqegldte~T4 |

It's too bad that he has had to retire from playing - his hand "injury" appears to be more of an illness situation. I saw him playing in 2005/2006/2007 with thumb splints and it looked extremely uncomfortable. Hope the guy is doing ok.

Some Cirrus/Mesa content - www.myspace.com/leftbrainmusic ("rivers" is pretty bass oriented).

Thanks for the clip! It brought back some memories, very pleasnat ones!
The bass on this track sounded perfect to me... ballsy, thumpy growly and articulate... what else could you ask for?
Great band and great clip!
Thanks,
