A good (and underplayed) Christmas song - now with 100% more fretless!

John McCutcheon's "Christmas in the Trenches" - tells the story of the Christmas Truce of 1914, when peace spontaneously broke out between front line British and German troops in France.

I just recorded a version with my duo Folk in A - that'd be me singing and playing the fretless Tobias Classic. I think it came out sounding pretty good. It's a wonderful story, and a really good, and underplayed, Christmas song.

Wow, that was really cool. Thanks for sharing. That's such a neat Christmas story that you don't hear about too often...

And that fretless sounds *amazing*... The swells on the notes are just incredible. Is there any special technique to getting those, or is it in the bass?

Thanks. I love that song. That's the Tobias fretless. The swell comes from giving a little bit of vibrato on the attack of the note.
