Good versions of All Blues

Can anyone recommend me some good versions of All Blues, apart from Miles's Kind of Blue version?

Cheers

Speedrabbit.

Speedrabbit,

I like the live album My Funny Valentine. The group is Miles's quintet with George Coleman, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams. I'd recommend getting the double disc set called The Complete Concert 1964 which includes the other album recorded at that concert, Four and More.

Cheers Applet. I've heard good things about that album. I'll check it out. Any others?

Pat Martino's version on 'Live at Yoshi's' and Brian Bromberg's solo arrangement on 'Wood' are both worth checking out.

I guess it could be considered more of a guitarist's album, but "No Substitutions" by Carlton/Lukather has a cool version of "All Blues" on it.

There's also a version by the Jazz Superband (Larry Carlton, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, Najee, & Deron Johnson) that's pretty cool.

Two of my other favorite versions of All Blues are :
Dee Dee Bridgewater 'Live In Paris' with lyrics, a bit slower than usual but it swings nicely. Pretty standard vocalist with piano trio session but quite nice. Not even sure it's still in issue but it woould be a nice find.
Frank Morgan 'City Nights' Frank Morgan on alto sax, George Cables, Curtis Lundy and Billy Hart. Killing band with the woefully not famous alto master Frank Morgan. An excellent CD with 7 other jazz standard favorites.

Brilliant guys. This is the first jazz tune I've learnt to play. I fancy trying out a couple of different versions, as well the Kind of Blue version. Cheers.
