Gospel: Albums with Fred Hammond?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys
I've recently gone on a search for some good, groovy gospel music. I saw a couple vids of Fred Hammond on youtube, and this particular blew me away

If you have any albums with Fred Hammond or similar types of gospel bass lines that you could suggest, please do so!

That tune and video is from the Fred Hammond & Radical for Christ Purpose By Design DVD. It is well worth your money and time!

Here is another clip from that DVD:

Here is one more clip from the Fred Hammond Free to Worship DVD (also available on CD):

It's hard to go wrong with any Fred Hammond CD!

A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste!

Most of the stuff that I've heard by The Winans is pretty groovy.

As far as Christian players-Abraham Laboriel Sr.-His 1980's work with The Manhattan Transfer in studio "Mecca For Moderns" 1981 was good stuff! along with all Abe's 80's studio work (Donald Fagen/Kenneth Copeland/ Al Jarreau/Lee Ritenour/George Benson etc. etc.)with sooooooooo many artists, the man is amazing! Not my style, but awesome talent.
