Can anyone suggested any good Gospel music CDs? I'm not talking about Gaithers, or what I call "Barber Shop Christian Music".. Pardon my ignorance, but I guess what I'm looking for is Baptist Gospel music (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Large choirs, solid rhythm sections, B-3 organ, etc..
I know there are solo Gospel artists, but I'm looking for full choir stuff. I'd even prefer live stuff, from an actual service..
Any suggestions? |

They have literally a one hundred person choir. And the band is the best gospel band I have heard in a long time. The snare was the sweetest I have heard and the bass was rock solid and in the pocket. Oh it was so much fun. Praisin God is easy with a band like that. |

Also Toronto Mass Choir, don't have their CD yet but I'm hearing they are pretty good. Also too check out the WOW series worship CD's
There is also a CD by Jars of Clay called "Redemption Songs" although they don't have a choir backing them and it's studio recorded they did alot of old gospel songs including a serious rendition of "Nothing but the Blood" .
Other than that I think the other brothers covered it.
Hope this is some help to you.
Cheers,
Desire |

Ummmm, I hate to disagree with you but all of their recordings are live in front of an audience of a couple thousand people. Wouldn't exactly call them gospel either. They are an excellent band and I highly advise them. |
