First two tracks on our myspace ("The Seed" and "Endless Stare") were just re-recorded with vocals. They're rough and need some polishing but I just want to know if you think the vocal style fits the music, what you think it sounds like, song structure and any other constructive criticism you can provide. It is hard rock/metal, I honestly wouldn't know what sub-genre y'all would categorize it in though. Edit: in "The Seed" around 2:50 or so, it skips and I think I just need a new CD for it. I've tried ripping and uploading it a couple of times but nothing is working yet.

Thanks!

Great stuff, subgenre wise, I'm sure it would be classified as "Sludge Metal" or Stoner Rock. I hear a huge Down influence, but maybe that's just your avatar speaking to me. Rock solid playing and tone from you, I didn't give it the full 10 minutes you advised, I was actually just about to log off the computer, but what I heard is some rockin' stuff.

Edit: If you guys ever end up touring around and end up in Northeast (Erie), PA, let me know. I would dig playing a show with you guys, I'm going to send you a friends request from my band.

Ride the Earth is especially awesome, and the production seems a little tighter on it. I dig the Southern rock sludgyness of it all.

If the cd is skipping try using a skip dr on it. They make the bottom of the disc look strange, but it works like a charm. cd fix-it 2000 is good for making light to medium scratches almost invisible to a cd laser.

If the cd has no visible problems, then you might want to try another ripping program. I use the creative jukebox that came with my audigy for ripping these days and it's flawless in its ripping (does it pretty fast too).

As someone who works in a used CD store and cleans discs with a professional machine and has to inspect discs all day: I advise AGAINST disc doctor and all those, they are a temporary fix that will eventually ruin your CDs permanently.

Couldn't get them to play on my crappy connection. Started and then skipped - will try again later.

Fantastic stuff, dude. I hear a lot of early C.O.C. and some Down in there... and that's always a good thing! It's nice to hear some Sludge-tone stuff played at more than a snail's pace.

But, uh, unless I was missing something, The Seed didn't have any vocals...

Man I dig this. Perfect vocal style. Almost pantera like with a different tone. I'd buy your cd and blare this **** in the car for the world to hear like a douchebag.
