Great bass albums in Gospel?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys,

I searched the forum for this but I found mostly youtube-links for songs concerning gospel and slap bass.

So I'm asking if you could recommend some Gospel artists who really groove I've noticed that many american black gospel artists have amazingly good bass players!

I've listened to Fred Hammond and Israel and New Breed but who should I listen to next?

Hezekiah Walker CDs have lots of great bass. I like the bass on Type Tribbett and G.A. CDs.

Abraham Laboriel's old Christian group called -Koinonia (all Christian studio musicians as well as Jazz an fusion band members from familiar bands)see FaceBook under that name-not overly familier-but saw clips years and years ago-wow! Abe's amazing-his studio work with so many in the 80's was very awe inspiring.

+1. Pick up "Pages of Life." Between Fred Hammond and Terrance Palmer, it is the most funky, soulful gospel lesson you'll get!
