You'll hear things you've never heard before. | But there's a difference between sounding better and being a great headphone album--it really has to do with records that take advantage of the stereo experience to the fullest, though that's probably an oversimplification.
Radiohead's Kid A is a prime example. |

A great record! It's fanastic to hear John and Carlos's notes flying back and forth! Add to this John Mclaughlin, Paco De Lucia and Al Di Meola's "Passion Grace and Fire" record, which is also a stereo masterpiece!
Paul Simon's "Graceland" album reveals a lot of wonderful complexities on headphones, with it's multitudes of layers and sounds. As does Rush's "Hold Your Fire". |
