I dont know why Amy Winehouse was invited to the North Sea Jazz Festival in the first place. But she canceled at the last minute due to "exhaustion" which probably means she was hung over or stoned out of her mind. So Marcus and his band stepped in.. I guess the audience didn't know until a few hours before.

+1,000,000 for Marcus Miller. Not only did he do a great thing by filling in but he brought his music to a whole new audience who may of not even known who he was.

So they played the head once (which lacked energy) and then just jammed for 6 minutes over the changes. On top of it, MM only play bass towards the end. Gets a big "meh" from me.

Actually, her 2003 album "Frank" is fairly jazzy. It was released only in Europe, but it'll finally be released in the U.S. next month. I've heard it, it's not bad at all.

That was awesome! Candy ripped it up! In fact all those musos were incredible. Way better than having Amy Winehouse perform.
