Bill Charlap on piano with Peter Washington on bass. I saw them live, and it was pretty amazing. Very much in the Evans-LaFaro tradition. They play beautiful melodies together, but they can also flat-out burn.

I'm not much of a Jazz listener, but after seeing her on late night TV I borrowed quite a few Diana Krall CDs from the library.

Her work with Ray Brown and Christian McBride is pretty darn good...

Dont know if its been mentionned but try Michel and Louis Petrucciani. They're pretty amazing, Louis is my current bass teacher
