I've always said that one of the things that makes Paul one of the best bassists, is his ability to play and sing. Not exactly the same, but similar to a lead guitar player trying to sing during a lead lick.

I think Paul is to Rickenbacker what Jimi Hendrix is to a Fender Stratocaster! They have helped to sell more instruments than any cleverly assembled promotion ad.

Macca clips make me want whatever bass he is playing.

Hofner, Ric, Wal, Jazz Bass (actually have one of those), Yamaha BB. He's an unstoppable GAS creating machine.

I agree with all that's been said in this thread about Paul McCartney. Great musician. One of the Greatest.

But man, do Wings suck!

The Beatles have a special place in my heart - not even a solely musical place, more a cultural one - its part of growing up in England.

But man, do Wings suck!!

(Sorry if this causes offence, I just have to voice this.)
