Just went through Hair, and was again pretty impressed with the bass line on Donna/Hashish.. Energetic and funky and relaxed in the same tune. Wish I could play like that..

There's some killer bass playing all over the original Broadway cast recording from ~1968. Not sure who that bassist was, but he smokes! Check out "The Flesh Failures" (aka "Let The Sunshine In")
