In the Hall of the Mountain King, Taste of Brass

My dad had an album that I haven't seen in years. It was like a sampler album(circa 1950), I think it was called "A taste of Brass." I have searched many out of print music sites with no luck.
It had the most bombastic trumpet solo I have ever heard anywhere. The song in particular was "In the Hall of the Mountain King." The are many versions of this song but I am really wanting to hear this recording of it. Anybody have it?

It sounds like a line from a Man-O-War song. I cant remember which one though.

No. I know but I was thinking that they maybe were influenced by or even did a take on a song from the '50s

You're thinking of the band Savatage, but the OP is talking, I think about a cover version of the Grieg piece of the same name.

Yes, it is a Grieg cover. Sounds alittle like the nut cracker.

You've heard the cover? Or you don't like Grieg?

Edvard Hagerup Grieg (June 15, 1843 – September 4, 1907) was a Norwegian composer and pianist who composed in the romantic period. He is best known for his Piano Concerto in A minor, for his incidental music to Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt, and for his Lyric Pieces for the piano.

I love Grieg's music but hate the idea of anyone tampering with what he wrote!!

It's a jazzy, big band, raucous cover, fun.
