Talking Hanging Tree - stonerblues!

Sign in to disble this ad

Hi there!

We're Hanging Tree, a stonerblues band from the Netherlands
We recently recorded our first (live) EP! We've been in the studio 3 times past year and it never worked out the way we wanted.. so we set up our backline, pressed the record button and recorded, mixed and mastered everything ourselves, which resulted in the Black Shades EP!

We're pre-releasing the EP tomorrow as a free download so we're really curious what the rest of the world thinks of our music before we actually offer it as a public download, and what better place to start than at Talkbass? and if you don't like the music you can still check out our myspace as we have a female drummer

You can listen to the EP on our myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/hangingtreestoner

If you like the songs you can always download them for free! the download includes a bonus track and artwork!

Click on the image to download the Black Shades EP (256kbps // mp3 // 44,7 mb zip)

All songs are played live, no clicktrack, no overdubs! What you hear is what you get -live- The band started as a side project in 2008 but turned into a complete band since our current drummer joined the band 4 months ago I'm really proud of what we've achieved in such a short time!

I would love to hear what you think of our songs!

Thanks for the download!

I like it: sounds tight and I dig the songs- I think I like 'Black Shades' best so far... when you coming to the US

These are good, well played songs- I'll bet you guys put on a good show. Sounds really good to be a live set- good harmony vocals! I like that it rocks and is melodic as well- the guitar players mesh well together... and you and kiki sound good together! Time to sell some t-shirts... Ill buy one

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it! At first I was a bit worried of what people in other countries would think of our music, we're a small country after all and I didn't have a clue how our music would reflect on people outside our country I'm glad the first impressions are good ones and I would like to hear more people's opinions!

Our drummer is going to Ohio from December till June actually...if it's possible to book some gigs we would love to come over to play! At the moment I don't have a clue where to start looking for venues really.. are there any sites that keep a database of venues in different states?

Thank you guys The bass tone on The Days That Won't Last is a Fender Precision through a cranked V4BH and 70's fridge.. no effects
