Yep, those kids have talent, no doubt. It was sadly wasted on "Mmm Bop".

Definitely check out their other stuff. Those guys can play.

They're brothers. That's the closest musical connection sometimes. And they've all been playing since they popped out the womb.

No doubt very underrated musicians.

Too bad they haven't had a hit since MMMBop - they might have been able to afford more than one mic.

There was a pretty obscure prog band in the 70s called "Hanson" so for a while, I've been digging on some Hanson.

The Hanson bros, they got talent... but, sometimes that's not enough.

I saw Hanson (the kid singers) on Letterman a few years ago... THey played Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolph"... a pretty basic song, but they had pretty good chops and it sounded great. I then saw some other "cooler than Hanson" band on a different show that night (I admit, I was one of those people that liked to bash the "MMmmmBoppers" to my ex's little sister......) Third Eye Blind, or someone like that, and they sounded like dirt. Idunno if they just had a bad night or if they just stunk live or could only put something good together in a studio, but I gotta admit: after that, if someone offered me tickets I'da chosen Hanson... And I am an old guy.

Third Eye Blind always sounds like dirt live. I'd rather see Hanson.

Later

they've put on a few shows here in Nasvhille... and I'll admit I went to one awhile back.. they were extremely tight, and musical... I give them props for doing what they do.

Wasn't that some Danish guy who built his own polyphonic synth back in the mid-70s, and put out a concept album centered around "The Lord of the Rings?"

That's actually who I thought this was about.

FWIW, one of the Hanson brothers in the film was actually NAMED Dave Hanson, and played for several years for the minor league Birmingham Bulls/South Stars. I used to have season tickets.

The guy was a real character.

I've never paid attention to the lyrics, nor do I know the history, but that's probably it.

If you had the financial freedom to do nothing buy play from a young age, and have the support of your brothers... then I imagine it wouldn't be hard to get some serious chops together... goo on 'em.
