I like how it mixes the Big band/Swing style (tons of instruments and a lot of organized synchronized phrases) with the old New Orleans Jazz style (all the polyphony tons of voices soloing all of equal importance.)

Mingus is an amazing musician and composer, I can't even put it into words. I will check out that song too.
