Has Richard Bona ever recorded Liberty City?

I've found his arrangement of the song on youtube but I can't find it on CD. I know I could rip the vid but after the .flv to .mp3 conversion the sound quality takes quite a dive. It would be great if I could find a higher quality version.

Here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqjqMjDI0LI

and another...

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QajxOihDWT0

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVUcE...eature=related

I REALLY like Bona's take on this great song, even more so than the original (don't hit me :cry and I'd really like to be able to play it on my iPod whenever I feel like it, which is basically all the time.

I seem to recall that tune being on a special edition of Munia, but that it was hard to get a hold of even when it came out. Bona plays bass on Gil Goldstein's version on the album Under Rousseau's Moon. Not quite what you're looking for, but that's another great version.

I actually had been searching on and off for about a 2 months but apparently, I'm not very good at it . Thanks a bunch though I just got Gil's CD off of itunes and I really like the way they did Liberty City as well. I want to get Munia - The Tale too but I have some other things that need purchasing before I get to it .

Oh and allmusic.com seems like a very cool site but every time I tried to play a song I'd always get some error so I couldn't tell which version I was looking for.

Kwesi, thanks for sharing those links. I hadn't seen the first one, and there is some wicked playing by those cats. Whew! Man, do I love Richard Bona's tone...especially on such an incredible composition.

Not sure if the sound quality will be to your tastes, but FWIW, I just did a little experiment. To my ears, the results are plenty good, especially for mobile listening.

1. Using the Download Helper Firefox extension, I retrieved the .flv files from those youtube links.

2. I then used the Freez FLV to MP3 application to convert the files into .mp3's.

3. Finally, I added the files into my iTunes library.

I hope that helps to at least satisfy the urge to hear this stuff away from your computer.
