Have you ever come across an album where you did not expect to find what you found?

I recently purchased "colors" by Herp Alpert...

The band is Doug Wimbush, Will Calhoun and Bernie Worrell...

how cool is that? I had no idea these guys were on the album!

I purchased "Frances the Mute" (The Mars Volta) and had no idea Flea and John Frusciante were on it. They did an excellent job.

I was kind of shocked to find Primus on Tom Waits' "Big In Japan" off of Mule Variations .

Didn't expect James Hetfield or Tom morello on Antipop.
Dave Lombardo on the Fantomas stuff
