Have you ever watched a youtube vid and said "I wish I had an mp3 of that!"?

I am not affiliated with this website at all. I just discovered it last night and thought I should share!

Last night I am listening to the isolated drums/bass from "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" on youtube over and over again. Jamerson is at his best on this track and I can't get enough of it.

I want an mp3 of this. I wanna listen to it on my phone. I want to put it on my Tascam GB-10 and play along!

So, I find this site. It looks scammy, but I go for it. I put in the youtube URL, select high quality and let it process. The result is great. I click on a link to get the mp3 and it downloads! Now I am listening to it at work.

It's brilliant.

For this purpose i use a program 'mp3mymp3' IIRC. It records from a selected source of your audio card.. i find it more easy but if other things are going on in the background it will record them also [depending on what source you choose to record].

Other options include video download and audio ripping but i guess that site is easier and faster.

You can also set up your PC soundcard to record 'what you hear'. That's much eaiser IMO.

Here's how to do it using Audacity: http://gecsoft.blogspot.com/2008/07/...u-hear_11.html

Several free converters, including youtube to mp3. Works well.

I was attempting to record from my soundcard last night and couldn't get it to work on my laptop. The only available audio input is the mic. hm

There are several websites and programs to convert youtube videos to mp3, beware though, some of the fishier ones are bound to have viruses, I had to fix a friends computer because he had 10 trojans due to using a stinky website and having a lame antivirus.
