a heavy plodding beast of a tune

this is the heaviest song i've done so far, for sure. it's a slow plodding beast that has a repeating guitar riff. i wasn't lazy this time and played/recorded the guitar riff 3 different times (using the SG twice and the les paul once) thru a splitter so it actually yielded 6 different tones. then i recorded it once more. ultimately there were those 7 different tracks plus i copied one or two of them to give me 8 or 9 guitar tracks. all the individual tracks were pegging the redline but not ever putting the master volume into the red so there isn't any clipping. overall this is what i wanted, total overload.

it's called 'a slow crawl to your awakening' thanks for listening!

I really like what you got here actually, but I wouldn't call it "heavy" (no offense). The riff is really sweet and it is honestly something I would listen to if you put out more of, just wouldn't deem it heavy (at least not by my standards). But definitely a cool song you got going there.

For what I mean by my definition of heavy listen to the first track on the Bongripper myspace...but then again I deem us as one of the "heaviest" in Chicago.

thanks for taking the time to listen ron! i appreciate your comments. yea, it's not going to be heavy by some standards but for me i considered it so. i listen to lots of heavy stuff but hadn't recorded anything like this before. no offense taken. thanks again for your input man.

i look forward to hearing bongripper!
