Sounds vaguely like this, only in more of a major key, IIRC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnlFwDJ8OLU

It's tough, because all Cocteau Twins songs sound pretty similar, so playing a Siouxie tune that is also similar doesn't do much to narrow the field.

Oh, and I just have to note with annoyance that Firefox spellcheck recognizes "Siouxie" but doesn't recognize "luthier".

Yeah, frankly I'll be quite impressed(though not totally shocked )if someone can peg it from my vague description. My recollection features mostly arpeggiating(sp?), operatic-sounding female vocals & synth washes- no help, I'm sure.

Thank you so much, though. Theses guys are my new favorite band. Do they even have a bass player?

Yes, I can hear bass on all those tracks, although often its tone is focused on the upper end, not the lows. That last one has quite clear bass though.

Yeah, i was being faceitious about the bass. It does work for the songs, though.
I'm just amazed- I had only heard a snippet of the tune, a good 15-20 years ago, and it has stuck w/me ever since. Never made a huge attempt to find it until now.
