I started that video in another window and it gave me such a fright. Be warned TBers! Assaulting music.

There is some isolated bass right at the end, 3.10 round abouts. (I didn't read your @2:58). Indistinguishable in the mix. Just sounds like tubey overdrive to me.

Strings, bass, heads if possible
My band might get on a really good management and I could possibly get fender, ernie ball and orange amplification for a discount So i'm trying to get as close to this tone as possible with whatever I need

new nickel strings... get some thick ones, sounds drop tuned. flatten the EQ on the amp (if any boost, the low mid just a tad, 400 HZ up 1db to 3db) also pickups, I don't know what kind of bass or amp your using. Up the gain on the amp to give it that grit, the boss ODB-3 is a great pedal. and you don't want to play a Fender, ernie ball or orange amplification for that sound. your looking for girth, active pickups, a 15, with 4 10's maybe some 12's.
