Help W/ Senior Project!!!!

howdy guys,
i've decided to do my senior project on the fundamentals and basic "in + outs" of bein a Session Musician, but i really cant find much other than the actual definition of the word "Session Musician". i need you guy'z help! i would love if someone could direct me to some different websites or, even better, if i could interview a couple of you sometime who have experience in this subject. any help would be appreciated. Once again, i need more than just the definition...like whats required, skills needed, anything else special!...Thanx in advance guys

Basic requirements to be a 'session' musician.

Reading skills (They will throw charts at you and expect you to read them)
Well versed in MANY different styles (Rock one week, Country the next!)
Well mannered
Punctual & dependable (self explanitory)
Ability to adapt (the music may not be to your liking but you better like it)
Available at a moments notice (overnight sessions are common)
