I hadn't seen this before. Matt Garrison is getting pretty funky on this one.

I'll have to look that DVD up. BTW is Matt playing a Kubicki? I couldn't see it too clearly. Maybe it was a Fodera.

I got to see Herbie Terry and Matt play as a trio, doing some pretty free stuff. AWESOME.

If you see the DVD (Future2Future), Garrison gets plenty of airtime...you can even select different cameras/angles.

It's not an Imperial, it's his Garrison signature. The Imperial model has the bottom horn curve away from the bass. Matt's signature has the bottom horn curve towards the bass.

I love that DVD as well- very cheap, and great sound/video quaility.

There's break during "Dolphin Dance" (IIRC) where Matt starts playing this really badass 16th note string skipping part that makes the entire song become really intense. Gives me goosebumps everytime I see it. It was the whole reason I really got into using a multifinger approach.

That 1/16th note groove is outta the Skool de Jaco.
...at least that's who I'm thinking of when I hear it.

I've got a video of Matt tearing up 'Actual Proof' as part of Herbie's current touring band. I will try and get it on YouTube soon.

What an original concept.

Wow, this vid: I had no idea this song could be awesome... aparently real drums and awesome bass can fix any song. This version is smokin', I'm going to have to get this DVD!

I also had no idea DJ Disk had any talent. He sucked the place up on the Primus videoplasty concert.

They did make a quite a few mistakes, Ler especially, and they do suck in the Primus sucks sense, but DJ Disk kept using this awful violin solo record and he might as well have used fingernails on a chalkboard.
