Now we know you were just checking to see if anyone was paying attention.

Regardless, cool clip. I was just listening to some Basie big band earlier today. I love the big horns......so cool the dynamic range from trio in many of the intros to wall of sound screeching trumpets........takes me back to jazz band in HS.

man....

count basie was so cool. i love his style. he'd just play what was necessary; in fact, almost less than what was necessary. he let so much space in between chords. fantastic!

right in the beginning of that video, too... when he hits that one note and holds it out for a while. just a single note, but it's so.... i don't know. important.

You should check Duffy Jackson's resume out - he's definitely not out of place. He's a smokin' piano player too.

Hehe, Cleve's a bad mothaf****. He lives here in town. You should see him play now, his tounges always hangin out when he plays. Hes been doin a jam session on Wends for about 2 years now here in Bham, great stuff.
