Red face Hi All ...and a question...

I never really introduced myself - I'm PattiMichelle, and am a working rocket scientist in the LA area, and in the 70's I played flatpick bluegrass guitar in a small "family" band. Anyway, lately, for some reason, I got interested in the bass again - and got a Brice Z6. I have good coordination, but probably don't have the time or social skills to be in a band... Anyway, it's keeping my interest finding grooves with my Korg Pandora. But I'd like to ask a question about this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxBlFun6FgE
I can't seem to find any chords written down online and I think I see extended (at least 7th) chords I can't figure out because my ear's not good enough. Probably an experienced 6-string player here can easily tell from the video. My two main questions are (1) during the melody part of the song, I can't really tell what chords the backup bass is using - it looks and sounds to me like just major chords, but that only makes sense (from his finger positions) if it's tuned with the top (high sounding) two strings tuned a 3rd above the third string rather than all 4ths - can anyone clue me in just by looking at the video?
And then, (2) during Evri's solo, there are just three chords - they sound like E# - D# - E# - A# but again, from his fingerings it looks like some sort of chord extensions are going on. 'Course, no idea what kind of tuning Evri's using, so I'm hoping someone out there has a really good ear and can help me out with some chord names.

Thanks,
Patti
