Home Recording Equipment questions

Sign in to disble this ad
hi there

Hope I'm not double-posting...

I'm thinking of getting myself a little mixer for home recording.
I play a Fender Precision Mexican active bass and I think I only have an onboard soundcard.
Will that kind of sound card do?

As to the mixer I had this one in mind

Yamaha MG124CX
Or
Yamaha MG 82CX.

Would the smaller mixer do if I only intend to record up to 2 instruments at a time?

Do you have any other recommendations?

And: what does an usb connection offer in comparison to the normal line out (which I usually use to connect a mixer to my PC).

Thank you already
